the hawkeye and black widow were amazing omg
nick fury and spiderman too
all of them were so awesome dang
And here you all can see the Hawkeye vest in action! Thanks to the OP for actually posting stuff on Tumblr of APF! I unfortunately was so busy running around doing my duty as a Staffer, Speaker, and Batgirl I didn’t get much of a chance to take pictures!
Lots of stuff happening lately, my loverlies!
Alabama Phoenix Festival was a huge hit, the panels I was on were awesome and I got to meet a bunch of awesome people and new friends!
Next up: Prepping for Twilight Sparkle’s Gala dress for AWA, Batgirl 2.0, Red Robin, and likely a Subzero and Frost if we can get the time to do it, all before September! I’m also happy to announce now that I’m also working on a full Ultron costume, which if I’m lucky will be ready for Dragon*Con, but I’m not going to push it on this one; next year will be good enough for me. :)
We’ll also be starting some work with Sick Sense Productions in their short flick filming sometime in the next month or so, which we’re fantastically excited about.
In between that I’ll likely be doing some restoration on Josh’s Victorian jacket, finally finishing my white mage costume, and possibly opening two or three costume commission slots once I get pricing down. I also believe I’ll be making another Hawkeye vest for Josh, since he liked the one I made for Kingdom Comics so much and cuz he’s always been a Clint boy-fan. :)
This is now a life full of awesome, guys! And I’m having a blast doing it! :D
First major costuming panel happening in five minutes! Excited!
Aaaaand the back, since Tumblr mobile sucks and wouldn’t let me piggyback the pictures.
Front of the Hawkeye vest! I’m still not fully done(I still gotta put the lining in, which is where the collar is and other small details), but I figured I’d finally post pics since I got it all pieced together.
For those wondering; I drafted this pattern completely by myself by looking at photos of Jeremy Renner in it online and it consists of around 20 individual pieces, not including the piping and strips on the torso. It’s relatively screen accurate save for the missing zippers on the front flanks(which may be added later if I have time between my other costume commissions before the deadline of next week) and of course the torso piece that is rubber latex in the movie…kiiiinda didn’t have any of that laying around the house so I had to improvise.
I’m hoping to get some good shots of Jeremy, our Hawkeye, next weekend at the Alabama Phoenix Festival.
Awwww…my phone is angry at me dicking around on here instead of sleeping.
SIGH! I guess I should plug up and crash. Another long day of sewing ahead of me!
This Hawkeye vest is gonna kill me. Pics coming once it’s done!
Been having an off night. I’ve been filling it with Owl City and The Killers to make myself feel better. Josh’s way of cheering me up? Fried apple pie and subjecting me to my first time watching Barbarella.
There are never enough Joffrey slaps.
